Celtic stars Sephira launch Christmas album

Classical cross-over duo Sephira recently performed at AM De Prisco Jewelers in Wellesley, MA to launch their new Christmas album Starlight. The event combined Sephira’s beautiful music with Celtic Christmas couture to create a unique shopping experience.

Sephira are the fiery red-haired Irish sister duo Joyce and Ruth O’Leary, whose hauntingly beautiful voices and mastery of their violins are mesmerizing.  They slayed the house with a piercing rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” (1984)

Joyce and Ruth O’Leary, of the Irish group Sephira, were in Wellesley on Friday night to celebrate their new album, “Starlight.’’ They partied at A.M. DePrisco jewelers with Zack Lo, the local designer who’s responsible for the shoes the women wear on their album cover.

Irish Duo Sephira awarded Key to Aberdeen, WA USA

"Monaghan band Sephira has joined luminaries such as Kurt Cobain when they were awarded the key to the city of Aberdeen, USA at the weekend!  It was while touring in Seattle and Aberdeen at the weekend that they were presented with a very special award.  On Sunday an ecstatic Ruth and Joyce said "We are so proud to say that we were presented with the key to the city of Aberdeen today by the Mayor.  We felt even more special when we found out that Kurt Cobain was one of the other people to receive the key in the past.  What an honour for Sephira! In December, Zack Lo displayed his imaginative designs alongside international musical duo, Sephira, in the Christmas Celtic Couture fashion show. While recording their holiday album titled Starlight, Sephira approached Zack Lo about wearing his shoe designs on the cover.
